Screening and Outdoor Privacy

Colorado weather allows for outdoor entertainment for most of the year.  Often, screening or privacy becomes a significant desire in a landscape design.  Consideration should be given to weather patterns, existing site amenities, architecture, and budget when designing and implementing a successful privacy screen.  Frequently, the desired privacy can be obtained with the introduction of plant materials; however when space is at a premium, a man-made structure can be effective, functional, and beautiful as well.  At times, a combination of plantings and structure(s) can work well together to accommodate the desired buffer.
